Class Combo Tier List

Ranked multiclass combos for EverQuest Legends based on sustain, charm DPS, and group utility — updated for beta testing.

Beta content — balance may change before launch.

Beta Disclaimer

Important: EverQuest Legends is currently in beta ahead of the July 28, 2026 launch. This tier list reflects beta balance and community testing — class abilities, charm mechanics, and combo scoring may change before release. Treat these rankings as a starting point, not final gospel. Re-test your combo after major patches and use the Class Combo Builder to evaluate changes yourself.

We rank combos on sustain (tank + heal + pet), damage (melee + caster + charm), and utility (support + charm + buffs). Charm trios consistently score highest because Enchanter charm DPS multiplied by Shaman slows creates unmatched kill speed when a durable front line holds aggro.

S-Tier Combos

Shadow Knight / Shaman / Enchanter — The definitive charm trio. Shadow Knight tanks with lifetaps and fear, Shaman provides slows, cannibalize, and healing, Enchanter delivers charm DPS and haste. This combo handles solo progression, duo content, and full groups through Lower Guk and beyond. It is the benchmark against which other builds are measured.

Warrior / Cleric / Enchanter — The unkillable group core. Warrior holds aggro with superior plate mitigation, Cleric provides the strongest heals and resurrection, Enchanter adds charm DPS and crowd control. Slightly slower solo than the SK variant but unmatched safety in dungeons like Crushbone and Mistmoore.

Monk / Shaman / Enchanter — Speed-focused charm trio. Monk brings the highest sustained melee DPS when not charming, Shaman keeps the group alive, Enchanter handles charm rotations. Excellent for fast leveling through Antonica outdoor zones and into mid-level dungeons.

A-Tier Combos

Paladin / Druid / Enchanter — Self-sustaining trio with Druid ports for travel across Norrath. Paladin tanks with self-heals, Druid supplements healing and provides teleportation, Enchanter covers charm. Strong for players who value mobility and independence.

Warrior / Necromancer / Druid — Durable solo progression with pet and DoT damage plus Druid ports. Less burst than charm trios but extremely self-reliant for players who prefer pet classes over Enchanter charm gameplay.

Shadow Knight / Cleric / Monk — Strong solo sustain combining lifetaps, delayed heals from Cleric, and Monk DPS. Works well when you want melee damage without relying on charm for every pull.

B-Tier and Specialist Builds

Beastlord / Shaman / Ranger — Pet and melee hybrid with tracking utility. Solid for outdoor leveling in Faydwer and Odus but lacks the charm burst of S-tier trios. Magician / Cleric / Wizard — Pet nuker with strong burst but fragile without a true tank. Best in groups with a dedicated Warrior or Paladin tank.

Berserker / Cleric / Bard — High melee damage with bard songs for haste and regen. Fun and effective in groups but mana-dependent and less safe solo than SK or Paladin hybrids. Pure caster triples like Wizard / Magician / Necromancer offer massive damage but struggle without mitigation in early dungeons. These builds remain popular for players who prefer pet gameplay or raw spell casting over charm rotations — viable throughout beta with correct zone selection and group support.

How to Use This Tier List

Tier rankings assume competent play — landing Shaman slows, maintaining Enchanter charm, and managing aggro as a tank. Your race selection, gear from item merging, and zone choice all affect real performance. Compare your combo on the tier list against our solo builds and group builds pages for playstyle-specific advice.

Remember: the best combo is one you enjoy playing. A B-tier build you master will outperform an S-tier combo you play poorly. Experiment during beta, report balance feedback, and revisit this page after launch patches. Track patch notes for Enchanter charm duration changes, Shaman slow resist adjustments, and tank mitigation tweaks — these three mechanics drive most tier list movement between beta builds.
