Overview of Norrath
EverQuest Legends launches with three classic continents forming the core of your leveling journey: Antonica, Faydwer, and Odus. Each continent offers distinct racial starting zones, outdoor camps, dungeons, and raid targets scaled for the Legends multiclass experience. Understanding how these landmasses connect — and where difficulty spikes — is essential for efficient progression whether you solo with a Shadow Knight / Shaman / Enchanter charm trio or group through Crushbone with Warrior / Cleric / Enchanter.
Unlike the full original EverQuest world, Legends focuses on the most iconic zones from classic Norrath. You will spend your early levels in human, elf, and erudite starter areas before pushing into mid-level dungeons like Mistmoore and endgame content like Nagafen's Lair and Cazic-Thule. Use this map guide alongside our continent pages for detailed zone breakdowns. Each continent has a natural level arc — starters at 1-15, outdoor mid-level at 10-25, dungeons at 25-45, and raids at 40-50 — giving every player a clear progression ladder regardless of which landmass they call home.
Antonica — The Human Heartland
Antonica is the largest starting continent, home to West Freeport, North Ro (Desert of Ro), East Commonlands, and the classic dungeon chain leading to Lower Guk and Nagafen. Human, Barbarian, Dwarf, and many other races begin here or travel here early. North Ro serves as a tutorial desert with early merging opportunities, while Freeport functions as the primary hub for trade, banking, and group formation.
Antonica's dungeon progression runs Crushbone (levels 8-18) into Blackburrow, then Solusek's Eye toward Lower Guk (35-45) and finally Nagafen's Lair (40-50 raid). This continent carries the deepest vertical content in Legends beta and is where most players spend their first fifty levels. New players asking "where do I go next" almost always receive an Antonica answer — start North Ro, hit Crushbone, and follow the classic chain forward.
Faydwer — The Elven Homeland
Faydwer hosts Wood Elf and High Elf starters in Greater Faydark, Dwarves in Butcherblock Mountains, and classic mid-level content in Castle Mistmoore. Kelethin, the treetop city, serves as Faydwer's social hub. Faydwer connects to Antonica via Ocean of Tears boat routes and offers an alternative leveling path that avoids some of Antonica's crowded starter camps.
Players targeting Mistmoore (25-35) and Permafrost (30-40) will spend significant time in Faydwer. The continent's outdoor zones are excellent for Ranger tracking and Druid port connections between elf and dwarf territories.
Odus — The Erudite Continent
Odus is the erudite homeland featuring Toxxulia Forest starter camps, the city of Erudin, Stonebrunt Mountains, and the high-level Cazic-Thule temple dungeon. Erudite casters — Wizard, Magician, Necromancer, Enchanter — often begin here and leverage their racial intelligence bonuses in early spell casting.
Toxxulia provides kobold camps and Paineel access for dark erudite players. Cazic-Thule (35-45) drops prized Rubicite armor and represents Odus's primary endgame dungeon before crossing to Antonica raids. Druid ports and wizard teleports shorten travel between Odus and the other continents once unlocked. Odus groups frequently recruit Antonica tanks via global chat once CT farming begins — plan your cross-continent connections early.
Travel and Level Progression
Movement between continents relies on classic EverQuest transportation: boat routes, Druid teleportation, Wizard gate spells, and eventually ring portals from quest rewards. Plan your route based on your multiclass combo — charm trios excel in outdoor Antonica camps, while pet classes may prefer Toxxulia and Faydwer for kiting space.
Consult our zone walkthrough guide for pull strategies and the dungeons and raids page for instanced content. Match zone level ranges to your character level and adjust difficulty scaling per the difficulty scaling guide. The world map is your roadmap from level 1 in North Ro to dragon fights in Nagafen's Lair. Mark hub cities — Freeport, Kelethin, and Erudin — on your mental map because every leveling route eventually passes through them for banking, spell upgrades, and group recruitment.
