July 28, 2026 — Launch Day Overview
EverQuest Legends is live today — July 28, 2026 for PC through the Daybreak launcher. Servers opened at noon PT (3pm EDT) with staged server opening — expect queue times during peak hours. Pre-order beta servers closed July 21, 2026 with a full character wipe. Subscription pricing remains $19.99 for the box plus one month included, then approximately $9.99/month — separate from EverQuest All Access.
Launch highlights: Kerran is a playable race at launch (revealed at SDCC), 15 races total, and confirmed 4K scaling. Executive Producer Sysyphus warned that launch weekend may include crowded starter zones. Plan patience and read getting started before logging in. This is a True Box server — one character per PC, no multiboxing.
Name Reservations and Character Creation
Pre-order purchasers who reserved names during beta will receive those names across all eight launch servers until January 2027 — unless the name violated policy or was already taken. If your reservation was blocked, the July 14 patch notes directed players to contact Brasse on Discord before July 19.
On launch day, pick your race, first class, and plan your three-class combo before level eleven locks your primary. Use the class combo builder and multiclass loadouts guide before committing. Half Elf race unlocks free for Human starters who switch at level ten — a popular path documented in community beta footage.
First Hour and First Week Priorities
Hour one: Complete tutorial quests, bind at the soulbinder, set difficulty to D0 or D1, configure keybinds, and join zone chat for pickup groups near your starter city on Antonica, Faydwer, or Odus. Consider Kerran if rolling a new character — the SDCC reveal confirmed Kerran as a launch-day playable race.
Levels 1–10: Unlock your second and third classes, test Loadouts, and read spell upgrades before spending Motes of Potential — all motes are untradable since the July 14 patch.
Levels 10–25: Run revamped Crushbone (levels 4–22) and Splitpaw (levels 25–42) for fresh loot. Begin item merging on duplicate drops.
Launch week: Join a guild, enable 4K scaling in settings if your monitor supports it, push into Planes of Fear and Hate, and bookmark patch notes for launch-week balance changes on official Discord. Read the player housing guide for the post-launch housing timeline — housing is not live on day one.
What Changes After Beta
Systems tuned during pre-order beta — spell tiering, Crushbone and Splitpaw revamps, untradable motes, new Ranger and Berserker disciplines — are launch-ready per the July 14 patch. Post-launch content arrives on the roadmap: Nektropos Castle and a player auction house in fall 2026, Kunark expansion in winter 2026.
