Player Housing — Post-Launch

EverQuest Legends player housing guide: confirmed post-launch per the June 30, 2026 producer letter, guild hall absence, auction house fall 2026, and how to prepare while the game is live.

EverQuest Legends is LIVE. Guides current through August 16, 2026 — August 18 Mistmoore preview next.

Housing Is Post-Launch — Not Day One

Executive Producer David "Sysyphus" Youssefi clarified in the June 30, 2026 producer letter that player housing arrives post-launch — not on July 28, 2026 day one. EverQuest Legends went live July 28 with three continents, multiclass, Planes of Fear and Hate, Kerran, and 4K UI scaling, but housing remains on the roadmap alongside Deity Achievements and Rujarkian Hills.

Guild halls are also not available at launch. If your classic EverQuest memories involve guild hall portals and shared buff stations, plan around city hubs and direct trades until housing and social features expand. See the post-launch roadmap for Nektropos Castle (~October 2026), the player auction house (fall 2026), and Kunark (winter 2026).

What Housing Will Mean for Progression

When player housing arrives, it should serve as a persistent anchor between dungeon sessions — storage for merge duplicates, a place to organize Exaltation planning, and a visual trophy room for epic quest rewards from our epic quests guide. Because motes are untradable since the July 14 patch, housing storage will help you stockpile rank-tier motes per character without juggling overflow bags.

The July 8 producer letter expanded alternate storage at level 50: +50 tradeskill slots, +25 Dragon's Hoard, +5 activated item slots, +25 equipment slots, and +25 Exaltation slots on your first level-50 achievement. These storage upgrades are live now and bridge the gap until housing ships. Read in-game shop details for optional Iridium storage purchases.

Auction House vs Direct Trade

A centralized player auction house is planned for fall 2026 — also not at launch. Until then, direct trades, zone-side commerce, and vendor sales remain the primary economy. This matters for future housing decorators and traders: rare furniture or cosmetic drops from revamped dungeons like Crushbone and Splitpaw may hold value in player-to-player trades before the auction house arrives.

Remember that Motes of Potential cannot be traded after the July 14 patch. Housing will not bypass that restriction when it launches — motes stay bound to the character that earned them.

How to Prepare While Housing Is Upcoming

EverQuest Legends is live since July 28, 2026. Use launch week to finalize your main combo, farm motes, and push into Planes of Fear and Hate rather than waiting on housing. Follow our launch day guide for queue expectations, starter zone routes, and subscription setup.
