EverQuest Legends Roadmap

Official post-launch content roadmap for EverQuest Legends: player housing, auction house, Nektropos Castle fall 2026, Kunark expansion winter 2026, and subscription model details.

EverQuest Legends is LIVE. Guides current through August 16, 2026 — August 18 Mistmoore preview next.

Launch Foundation — Now Live (July 28, 2026)

EverQuest Legends is now live as of July 28, 2026 on PC with Antonica, Faydwer, and Odus — pre-Kunark Norrath. Day-one content includes 16 classes, multiclass characters, personal instances, spell upgrades, difficulty scaling, Planes of Fear and Hate, eight-player raids, the playable Kerran race (revealed at SDCC), and confirmed 4K UI scaling. Pre-order beta ended July 21, 2026. See release and beta details, launch day guide, and pre-order guide.

Not at launch: guild halls, a player auction house, and player housing — all confirmed post-launch per the June 30, 2026 producer letter. Pricing follows the classic $19.99 box price including one month, then approximately $9.99/month subscription — separate from EverQuest All Access. A cash shop offers cosmetic and utility items only, not pay-to-win gear. Read our game review for expectations.

Fall 2026 — Nektropos Castle and Auction House

Game Jawn's June 30, 2026 producer letter and MMORPG.com coverage confirm post-launch additions arriving in fall 2026. Nektropos Castle is targeted for roughly October 2026, bringing classic horror dungeon content to Legends with modern instancing and difficulty scaling. Prepare resist gear and crowd control trios from our group builds guide before the castle opens.

A player-run auction house is also planned for fall 2026 alongside Nektropos. This addresses economy concerns from players who want centralized trading without destroying zone-side commerce. Until the auction house arrives, direct trades and zone vendors remain the primary exchange methods. Note that Motes of Potential are untradable per the July 14 patch — plan personal mote farming accordingly.

Winter 2026 — Kunark Expansion

Kunark arrives in winter 2026 as the first major expansion zone pack for EverQuest Legends. Kunark introduces the continent of Kunark with classic zones like Timorous Deep, Firiona Vie, Karnor's Castle, and Sebilis — content familiar to veterans of original EverQuest expansions.

Launch-day players should aim to reach level 50 and complete core epic quest chains before Kunark opens. Kunark will bring its own timeline and balance pass separate from the pre-Kunark tuning happening during beta. Bookmark world map updates as new zones are announced.

Confirmed Launch Features vs Coming Later

At launch (July 28, 2026): Three continents (Antonica, Faydwer, Odus), 16 classes, multiclass system, personal instances, spell upgrades, Planes of Fear and Hate, Kerran race, 4K UI scaling, eight-player raids, subscription model.

Not at launch: Guild halls, player auction house, player housing, Kunark zones, Nektropos Castle, PvP servers (no plans announced), EQ1 character transfers (not supported).

August 2026 live: August 4 systems patch, August 5 Void-touched timer hotfix, and a previewed August 18 Mistmoore revamp plus group XP, 0.25 UI steps, cursor resize, and the Bristly Boar mount. Hub: August live updates.

Ongoing post-launch: Deity Achievements, the Rujarkian Hills zone (not in August patches — stub page), dungeon revamps roughly every two weeks, and player housing. Track the player housing guide and patch notes.

Evergreen systems to master before expansions: spell upgrades, stances and invocations, exaltations, and difficulty scaling.

How to Prepare During Launch Week

Use launch week to finalize your main character combo with the class combo builder, explore revamped Crushbone and Splitpaw, and consider the new Kerran race revealed at SDCC. Watch community videos including solo gameplay demo and trio builds inspiration.

Track balance changes via patch notes and official Discord — launch-week patches are expected. Knowledge from beta about spell tier costs, stance bindings, and dungeon layouts transfers directly to launch-day efficiency.
