Multiclass Loadouts — Video Walkthrough
Community video walkthrough of EverQuest Legends loadout swapping: three starting slots, city-only swap zones, lowest-class level scaling, equipment sets, and pre-level-11 city selection tricks.
Why Loadouts Matter Before Launch
Loadouts are the backbone of EverQuest Legends' multiclass identity — saved presets bundling race, class combination, gear, hotbars, and bandoliers. This video demonstrates the full swap workflow before the July 28, 2026 launch. Pair it with our written multiclass and loadouts guide and the July 8 producer letter covering three default slots and Iridium pricing.
Three Slots and Safe Swap Zones
Every character launches with three Loadout slots and 50 equipment slots. Swapping is restricted to starting cities, city-adjacent newbie zones, and the Arena — not open-world dungeons. The July 14 patch also blocked swaps while hiding, sneaking, trading, or using forges. Plan a port back to town before changing roles mid-farm.
Additional Loadout slots cost 500 Iridium (IR) in the optional shop, or can be earned through post-launch gameplay and Untapped Potential achievements. See in-game shop details for full pricing.
Level Scaling and Class Progress
When you activate a Loadout, your character plays at the level of the lowest class in that preset. A level-28 Warrior paired with level-35 support classes functions at 28 until you level the Warrior. Class progress persists across swaps — remove a level-30 class and swap it back later, and it remains level 30.
Before level eleven, swapping Loadouts can change your starting city for races with multiple spawn options — a useful routing trick for alts. After primary class locks at eleven, secondary and tertiary classes swap freely within allowed zones.
What to Do After Watching
Theorycraft your trio in the class combo builder, then validate against trio builds inspiration and the tier list. For spell and stance synergy, read spell upgrades and stances and invocations. Pre-order beta ends July 21 — use remaining days to test Loadout layouts before the launch wipe.
